Education Legacy – Privacy Policy

Education Legacy – Privacy Policy

1. Executive Summary

Education Legacy’s Marketing and Communications Policy establish a structured approach for all marketing, communications, social media, public relations, and event-related activities. Developed in consultation with internal teams and relevant external stakeholders, this policy ensures that all promotional and communication activities align with Education Legacy’s strategic objectives, while maintaining lawful, fair, and transparent practices.

It underscores the importance of protecting and enhancing Education Legacy’s brand integrity across all channels, requiring strict adherence to established brand guidelines for the use of its logo, assets, and messaging.

The policy covers a broad range of activities — from advertising campaigns and digital marketing to internal and external communications, stakeholder relations, and public relations initiatives — with a strong emphasis on compliance with advertising standards and accuracy of content. Clear responsibilities are assigned for managing communications, including oversight of press interactions and engagement with key stakeholders. Digital marketing and social media activities must be conducted in accordance with brand standards, ensuring impactful and effective audience engagement.

Ownership of this policy rests with Education Legacy, and all student recruiters, marketing partners, and associated teams are responsible for implementation. Any breach of this policy may result in investigation and appropriate action, demonstrating Education Legacy’s commitment to ethical and effective marketing practices.

2. Overview

Education Legacy is committed to ensuring that all publicly available information is accurate, explicit, and easy to understand for both internal and external audiences.

This policy draws on key reference points such as the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA, 2015) guidelines, which help education providers understand and comply with consumer protection laws in their communications with prospective and current students. CMA guidance sets out minimum standards for
accuracy and transparency throughout the student journey, from initial enquiry and application through to enrolment and the provision of services

Alongside CMA requirements, Education Legacy adheres to relevant sector regulations, including Office for Students (OfS, 2019) obligations and the UK Quality Code for Higher Education (QAA, 2018). This includes ensuring that any information provided by Education Legacy’s recruitment partners is accessible, trustworthy, and fit for purpose, enabling students to make informed decisions about their education and career paths.
